Jennifer Hyndman to Receive the 2010 CMS Excellence in Teaching Award (Mar. 2)
The CMS is pleased to award the 2010 CMS Excellence in Teaching Award to Professor Jennifer Hyndman, Mathematics Program, University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). The award focuses on the recipient's proven excellence as a teacher at the undergraduate level as exemplified by unusual effectiveness in the classroom and/or commitment and dedication to teaching and to students. More

Kai Behrend to Receive CMS 2011 Jeffery-Williams Prize for Research Excellence (Mar 9)
The CMS is pleased to announce that Kai Behrend from the University of British Columbia is the recipient of the 2011 Jeffery-Williams Prize. The prize was inaugurated in 1968 to recognize established mathematicians who have made outstanding contributions to mathematical research. More  


Rachel Kuske to Receive CMS 2011 Krieger-Nelson Prize for Research Excellence (Feb 25)
The CMS is pleased to announce that Rachel Kuske from the University of British Columbia is the recipient of the 2011 Krieger-Nelson Prize. The prize was inaugurated in 1995 by the CMS to recognize female mathematicians who have made an outstanding contribution to mathematical research. More

2009 CMS G. de B. Robinson Award Winners (Oct 29) The CMS is pleased to announce that Dr. Vladimir Manuilov (Moscow State University) and Dr. Klaus Thomsen (Aarhus University) are the winners of the 2009 G. de B. Robinson Award. The G. de B. Robinson Award was inaugurated to recognize the publication of excellent papers in the Canadian Journal of Mathematics and the Canadian Mathematical Bulletin and to encourage the submission of the highest quality papers to these journals. More
