Position Title/Rank: Lecturer

Job Description: The Division of Mathematical Sciences, University of Toronto at Scarborough, invites applications for a full-time teaching position in Statistics at the rank of Lecturer. The appointment will take effect on July 1, 2003, or as soon as possible thereafter. A postgraduate degree in Statistics by date of appointment is required. Initial appointments at the rank of Lecturer are for a term of one year and may be renewed to a total of five years. In the fifth year of service, Lecturers are reviewed for promotion to the rank of Senior Lecturer, which is a continuing appointment. Responsibilities include lecturing, tutorials, grading, and curriculum development in a variety of undergraduate courses. Interested candidates are invited to submit a curriculum vitae, statement of career goals and teaching philosophy, evidence of teaching excellence, and arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly from the referees.
